Happy morning to you! Today I’m going to share how I make my basic egg white omelette. This dish is completely customizable and you can add veggies and another items if you wish! For me, I don’t get too fancy in the mornings so I just stick with just a light laughing cow cheese. This egg white omelette is perfect as your protein source for an E meal!
I first spray a little bit of olive oil on an 8″ pan, then rub it gently all over with a napkin or paper towel. We want to keep the fat to a minimum but we also don’t want the omelette to stick.
Next turn heat to medium-low and pour 1/3 cup of egg whites on warm pan. 1/3 cup = 2 eggs. As it begins to cook, it will turn white and you can slice up the light cow cheese and place on one side of the omelette.
Allow to cook for a few minutes, then as it bubbles slightly, check the bottom side to see if it is browning. If it’s slightly golden brown, use a spatula to flip the side with no cheese on to the side with cheese.
Boom. See! It’s not as hard as you thought it would be! If anyone has connections to the managerial staff at Cracker Barrel, please feel free to pass along this tutorial! 😉 I’m sure it will make Tim Hawkins very grateful! 😀 Check out his video here for some laughs about omelettes and a few other reasons why we should be grateful for THM food and cooking at home! hehe (Cracker Barrel is def still a “classic” for this southern chick, but Tim Hawkin’s view is hilarious.)
Definitely trying this as soon a I get some laughing cow cheese! This would be great with some peppers, onion and a little mushroom! Thanks!
